The interdisciplinary center 'Life in Time and Space' was established by the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2023. The main function of the IZ LIST is to connect the various affiliated groups, which come from very different fields, to explore life in 4D together. These include biology, agricultural and horticultural sciences (Thaer), psychology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and geography. With this objective in mind, the IZ LIST organizes regular internal and extended meetings to promote collaborations that are intended to serve as a basis for a long-term cooperation within the framework of a DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre (CRC). If you are interested in exchanging ideas, need support from a foreign scientific field or want to join/collaborate with us, please do not hesitate to contact us! 

The IZ LIST is also committed to the education and training of young scientists in this field. Therefore, we plan to offer workshops designed by our members to train PhD students and postdocs in specialized methods.
