Prof. Dr. Dagmar Haase

The Landscape Ecology Group deals with ecosystems, ecosystem services, land use and its actors along the urban to rural gradient. The main topics are land use change, human and urban footprint, ecosystem services, multicriteria risk, resilience and system analysis.

The focus of the Urban Ecology Lab is on urbanization and urban land change linked to the concepts of urban ecosystem services (UES), green infrastructure, nature-based solutions and environmental justice using large data sets, remote sensing but also Apps and empirical field and survey/interview methods.

  • System modelling
  • GIS and statistics
  • Remote Sensing
  • App creation
  • Interviews, surveys
